In the spotlight of September 13, the Chinese Super League officially unveiled the list of players' steals so far this season, with the impressive Beijing Guoan back Ji Zhongguo topping the list with a staggering 42 steals.

Ji Zhongguo, a solid barrier in the midfield for Guoan, has made 42 tackles so far this season, followed by Shandong Taishan's South Korean foreign aid Sun Junho, who is in second place with 39 tackles. Third on the list is Guoan U23 player Gao Tianyi, who also plays at the back, but was suspended for two matches in the first phase of the season for accumulating yellow cards.

It is worth noting that Ji Zhongguo has not been given a single minute on the pitch in the first two rounds of matches, despite the fact that he is currently with the national soccer team in the Western Region preparing for the upcoming Round of 12 clash with Vietnam. The national football team's defense has also come under a lot of criticism during this period. Whether coach Li Tie will give the Chinese Super League stealing king a chance to show his strength in the upcoming matches has certainly become the center of attention.
