Barcelona are plotting to strengthen their squad, targeting Beijing Guoan's star striker Bakambu, a team from the Chinese capital, sources said. The Congolese international, whose contract with Guoan expires at the end of next year, will command an attractive transfer fee.
Bakambu has been associated with La Liga for a long time, having spent three seasons with Villarreal, from 2015 to 2018, during which time he made 105 appearances for the team and scored 47 goals. His inclusion would certainly fulfill Barcelona's requirement to strengthen their central striking line. Currently, he has contributed 58 goals in 87 matches for BNP, with a goals-against average of 0.67.
