Born in Wuhan, Hubei Province on March 24, 1987, Artemisia Junmin is a midfielder with a height of 181CM and a weight of 79KG. He began his soccer career with the Wuhan Wansongyuan Road Primary School soccer team, and after graduating from elementary school in 1998, Artem Junmin entered the Wuhan Soccer School for further studies.

In 2002, he joined Tianjin Teda as an amateur player and began his professional career with the team. The following year, Artemis traveled to the English Premier League to try out for Chelsea, and after returning to China, he continued to play for Tianjin Teda's first team. 2005, at the age of 18, he became a starter for the team and won the Best Rookie Award of the Chinese Super League.
