China Super League (soccer league)

The league has been suspended for two months, and now from July 18 to August 12, 16 Chinese Super League teams will face a "super devil schedule" of one game every two days.

After the national football team advanced to the Top 40, the Football Association and the preparatory group of the CFF decided to adjust this year's Chinese Super League schedule to make way for the national football team's impact on the Top 12 across the board.

According to the latest schedule of the Chinese Super League, on July 15 and 16, Guangzhou will play against Henan Songshan Longmen and Beijing Guoan will play against Hebei in the 5th round of bye matches; from July 18 to August 12, Group A of Guangzhou and Group B of Suzhou will play the 6th to 14th rounds of the first stage of the league respectively. At the end of the first stage, according to the points, the top four of Group A and the top four of Group B will be promoted to the "Champion Group", and the 5th to 8th of Group A and the 5th to 8th of Group B will be promoted to the "Relegation Group". The second phase of the tournament will run from December 1 to January 3, 2022, with eight rounds of matches in each of the Championship and Relegation Groups, and teams that played each other in the first phase will not play each other again. Combining the points of the two phases, the top eight teams in the Championship Group will be the top eight teams in the league this season, while the top eight teams in the Relegation Group will be the ninth to sixteenth teams in the league this season. The last two teams in this season's Super League ranking will play a two-round playoff with the third and fourth place teams in the Central League to determine the last two Super League places for next season.

Under this new format, the remaining nine rounds of the first phase of the Chinese Super League will be crucial in determining the final "top eight" and "bottom eight" teams. In other words, a team that finishes in the top four of their group in the first phase of the competition will finish the season in the top eight, even if they lose all of their matches in the second phase of the competition. If a team fails to finish in the top four in the first phase, even if they win all their matches in the second phase, their highest ranking will only be ninth.

Although the first stage is crucial for each team, but now the FA schedule is exceptionally "devil", from July 18 to August 12, the two regions have to organize nine rounds of matches, each round of four matches are scheduled on the same day. This means that every team in the two regions will have to endure the high density of "three days, one game" in 24 days. Such a rhythm of the game, is unprecedented in the world's largest. The reason why the Football Association made such a schedule arrangement is entirely because after giving way to the national team, the league season really does not have much time to organize the rhythm of a weekly game. Because it's the middle of summer, the Guangzhou tournament is scheduled for two time slots at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., while the Suzhou tournament is scheduled for three time slots at 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Under the double pressure of high temperatures and the devil's schedule, all 16 Chinese Super League teams are facing great challenges, and they must be well prepared for lineup rotation. The FA has also put forward higher requirements for the venue and security of the hosting area. Because the original Suzhou Sports Center in Suzhou could not meet the requirements of the game, and the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center could not carry too many games, the CFA preparatory team decided to add two more venues in Suzhou, the Jiangyin Stadium and the outside of the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center, where the Jiangyin Stadium is 86 kilometers away from the city of Suzhou, which undoubtedly increases the difficulty of the game for the teams of the tournament in this region. It is precisely because of the coordination difficulties faced by the venue in Jiangsu that the Football Association did not announce the exact kick-off time for the remaining matches of the first phase of the schedule until yesterday, just two days before the July 15 Super League bye.

In addition, learning from some of the recent problems of safety accidents in domestic sports events and the European Cup, the Football Association has asked the two tournaments to upgrade the level of safety and security of the team, and in addition to the necessary ambulance equipment and team, each team and each stadium need to be equipped with pacemakers.

Guangzhou match last week held a preparatory meeting for the tournament under the leadership of the Guangzhou Municipal Sports Bureau, including the Guangzhou Football Association, venues, matches, security, Health Commission, venues, hotels, news and other related units have summarized the first phase of the first five rounds of the operation of the tournament, and exchanged the details of the preparations for the remaining nine rounds of the upcoming tournament. Guangzhou Municipal Sports Bureau said that all the adjustments in the period schedule of this Chinese Super League are made with the big picture of ensuring the national team, and all units in the region are required to attach great importance to and fully cooperate with each other, strengthen communication and promote together. In particular, it is necessary to comply with the latest national epidemic prevention requirements to ensure all-round safety of the stadium, teams, spectators and staff.

According to the current arrangement, the Blue Zone of the Guangzhou tournament will be launched from July 13, and two teams, Guangzhou and Henan Jianye, who are playing a bye game, will be stationed at the Oriental Hotel, the hotel of the Blue Zone, on the 13th. The other six teams will move in by July 16th. The venues for the Guangzhou tournament will remain the Galaxy Sports Center, Yuexiu Mountain Stadium, University City Stadium and Huadu Stadium, with Guangzhou and Guangzhou City scheduled to play in 2 different time slots in each round.

For the Guangzhou fans who are most concerned about whether to open up the audience, the organizing committee of the Guangzhou tournament is now guided by the Guangzhou Municipal Government to keep the first 5 rounds of the first phase of the program: all the venues can be opened up to 75% of the number of spectators. Yesterday, the organizing committee of the Guangzhou Tournament held another working meeting and made the above preparations again.
