The remaining nine matches in the first phase must be completed by the end of August, so the restart of the league is likely to be characterized by frequent week-long double-headers. In the past two weeks, Shenhua has been focusing on basic strength training and jogging at its Kangqiao base to prepare for the intensive fixtures. The coaching team has arranged that the team will gradually increase the intensity of the training during their stay in Dalian and will adjust the content of the last two weeks of training before the start of the season accordingly once the new schedule is finalized.

Two international players, Jin Xin Yu and Wu Xi, have returned to China from South Korea and the United Arab Emirates respectively, and are currently under quarantine in Shanghai and Suzhou respectively. According to the epidemic prevention regulations, overseas returnees need to go through a "14+7" quarantine cycle. Jin Xinyu and Wu Xi are expected to be released from quarantine on July 5 and July 8, respectively, but they will probably not have a chance to participate in the training in Dalian. During the quarantine period, Jin Xinyu will maintain communication with Shenhua's coaching team and independently carry out the training program formulated by the physical fitness coach, while Wu Xi will carry out daily training with the national team under the leadership of head coach Li Tie.

Former U20 National Youth Team member Zhu Yue has returned to Shanghai, where he will be preparing for the final stage of the tournament with the Shanghai U20 All-China Team in early August, and will therefore be absent from Shenhua's subsequent training and league matches. Jin Yangyang, a defender who joined Shenhua earlier this year, has returned to Tianjin Jinmen Tigers and has begun to participate in team training. Unsurprisingly, when the Chinese Super League summer window opens on July 1, Jin Yangyang will complete his registration and enrollment to represent Tianjin Jinmen Tigers for the remainder of the season.
