On the 19th, the final round of the group stage of Group C of the JAF Cup came to an end, and Yokohama FC was eliminated with a 0-2 defeat on the road against Urawa Ruby.

At the start of the match, Urawa Ruby broke the deadlock in the 3rd minute when Takayoshi Sekine received a precise pass from Yoshiho Koizumi. Immediately after that, Yasuya Taimaki extended the lead to 2-0 with a furious shot in the 16th minute of the second half.

The match resumed in the 26th minute with Chira Miura coming on as a substitute. Although he was active in front of the goal, scrambling for high balls and looking for chances, unfortunately, he could not get a good shot on goal, and the score remained 0-2 until the end. Yokohama only needed a draw to make history as the first team to break out of the group stage of the Nippon Confederation Cup, but a defeat left the team in a gloomy state.
