On May 17, China time, Saudi Arabia's powerhouse Riyadh officially announced that they have successfully signed Guangzhou's former foreign aid Talisker on a heavy three-year deal.

Dating back to the height of summer 2018, Guangzhou Evergrande recruited Talisca for a loan fee of €5.8 million. At the beginning of the following year, Evergrande then officially bought out Talisca for a transfer fee of €19.2 million. During his time at Evergrande, Talisca's performance was amazing, scoring 30 goals in 47 Super League matches and contributing 6 goals in 11 AFC Champions League matches, which made him loved by Guangzhou fans and known as the "Canton Tower".

However, after the injury attack, Talisca's athletic performance took a sharp turn for the worse, and the Brazilian's performance sparked widespread skepticism among Guangzhou fans. Affected by the epidemic, Talisca and teammate Paulinho were both stranded in Brazil, and were unable to return to the team. During this period, the Guangzhou team had four attempts to bring the Brazilian foreign aid back home, but all ended in failure.

For Guangzhou, they are now more inclined to keep Paulinho and rely less on Talisca. With two Brazilian foreigners unable to return to the team, Talisca was eventually sold to Riyadh Success and signed a stable three-year deal with his new owners.
