In the fourth round of the 2021 season of the Chinese Super League, Cangzhou Lions and Guangzhou, a touching image is unforgettable - former Evergrande star Muric waved around the stadium to thank Evergrande fans after the game.
On May 9, Guangzhou Evergrande beat Cangzhou Lions 2-0 in a 90-minute battle, with two wins, one draw and one loss in the first four rounds of matches, accumulating seven points. In this match, Muric, as the captain of Cangzhou Lions, at the age of 35, not only started but also played the whole match.
As the centerpiece of the team's midfield, Muric poses a huge threat to his old boss, and although age has robbed him of his former speed and sharpness, his style of play is more mature and sensible.

Muric first joined Evergrande from 2010 to 2014, before returning to Evergrande again in the second half of 2017 and playing for another six months before joining Meixian Tiehan in the Central League, and then joining what is now Shijiazhuang Yongchang in January 2019, where he has been playing ever since.
For Muric, the current Guangzhou Evergrande team has many unfamiliar faces.
