In the last season, the U19 National Youth Football Team won a lot of attention for its outstanding performance in the Second Division League. On May 9, the CFA officially unveiled the 35-member National Youth Football Team, with Cheng Yaodong leading the coaching staff. From May 17 to June 15, 2021, the national youth team will embark on a journey to Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, to compete in the first stage of the 2021 China B League.
Shandong Taishan contributed six players to the announced National Youth 35-man roster, namely Abdul Meat Suli Abdurahmu, Jia Feifan, Xie Wenneng, Song Bowei, Yi Xianlong and Sun Qihang. They were followed by Beijing Guoan, who contributed five players, including Liang Shaowen, Duan Dezhi, Hu Jiaqi, Ruan Qilong and He Zhenyu. It is worth mentioning that He Zuoyu played for the English Premier League's Wolverhampton Wanderers and made his debut in the new Chinese Super League season. Guangzhou, Shanghai Harbour and Shanghai Shenhua also have four players each in the national youth team.
Outside of the Chinese Super League, there are also four players from the Chinese League One who have been selected for the National Youth Football Team: Gusu Dongwu's Efirdin Eskal, Meizhou Hakka's Liang Weibing, BeiShiDa's Tian Yuda and Nanjing City's Zheng Xuejian. Among them, Efirdin Eskal has already collected a notable goal and an assist in the first three rounds of the Central League.
