On the night of May 5th, the Chinese Super League (CSL) welcomed the much-anticipated Shanghai Derby, which was undoubtedly the first and foremost battle of the season. Although Shanghai Harbour took the lead with Muy's first goal, substitute Baitijiang was sent off with a red card, followed by a penalty in stoppage time, which Shanghai Shenhua used to equalize the score to 1-1.

After the match, Shanghai Shenhua's manager Cui Kangxi attended the press conference and responded to all the questions related to the match.

Choi Kang-hee opened the game with a deep sense of regret: "I'm sorry that the players did their best but couldn't take away the victory. The opponent's backline of three center backs collaborated closely, we achieved zero in the first half with tenacious defense, and in the second half after conceding the ball through personnel adjustments and tactical changes to get a lot of opportunities, but ultimately failed to grasp, failed to win, such a draw for both sides is quite regrettable."

In the face of reporters' questions, Choi Kang-hee re-emphasized the regret of failing to win the title: "The first half Moreno and others' scrambling consumed a lot of physical strength of the Harbour team's backline, and Cao Yunding's and Bassogo's debuts successfully reversed the game's tempo."
