On the night of May 5 in Beijing, Shanghai Shenhua and Shanghai Seaport faced off in the third round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) 2021 season at the Suzhou Sports Center. At the beginning of the match, both sides failed to break the deadlock and the first half ended in a 0-0 draw. However, in the 62nd minute of the second half, Shanghai Seaport's Muy broke the deadlock with a decisive shot from the edge of the penalty area, thanks to his superb dribbling skills. Immediately after that, the drama started again, only 5 minutes of Baitijiang was sent off by the referee with a red card because of his stomping action on Han Chao. The match came to an end. In the 90th minute, Moreno was pulled down by Lu Wenjun inside the penalty area, Shenhua was awarded a penalty kick, and Bassogo scored a goal to end the match with Shanghai Shenhua and Shanghai Seaport in a 1-1 draw.
