Bilic reflected on the game, "We didn't start well and were quickly outscored by two goals, which was entirely due to our mistakes, especially the second one. But then we improved our performance, created several chances and managed to score. I think this game, either win, lose or draw, could have happened because we had a lot of chances. Even though the result was not as good as we would have liked, it exposed our own problems, and of course the opposing keeper played very well, contributing three good saves. Overall, the game was well played by both sides and any result is possible when you meet a strong opponent."
Talking about today's tactical arrangement of three center backs, Bilic explained: "The season has just begun and I think our attempts were successful, we were able to push well into the opponent's half and create several chances. It's not the first time for Guoan to use three center backs, although it wasn't common before. The key to choosing what formation to use is still to look at the players under us."
Facing two consecutive defeats in the league, Bilic emphasized, "It was really unpleasant to lose the first game, but I have emphasized with the whole team that we can't lose confidence. I didn't feel anxious during the game."
