In the 20th round of the English Premier League this evening, Newcastle United came back from Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-1 victory away from home. After the match, team player Isaac gave his personal opinion on the game in front of the TNT Sports cameras.
Speaking about what it was like to sit on the bench and watch the last 10 minutes of the game, Isaac lamented: "It wasn't easy, I sat there until the last minute of the game. I sat there until the last minute of the game. It was like the clock was ticking as Tottenham went all out for the equalizer. However, we were able to hold on for the win, which was a great relief."
Faced with the question of whether the team has adapted to the strategy of starting fast but looking for a new way to win today, Isaac responded, "It's true that we conceded a goal initially but quickly made adjustments. I think we still started fast and the two goals came at the right time and could have been more. Therefore, I am very satisfied with today's victory."
Referring to his involvement in the team's second goal, Issac humbly said, "It was just an insignificant touch, and I'm sure the ball would have gone in even if I hadn't touched it. But I feel very honored to have been a part of it."
A Newcastle player who has scored in his last seven Premier League games, Isaac said: "I'm very happy. Obviously, every game I bring the desire to score goals. Of course, I don't deliberately aim to break records, but this is just a positive result."
Stressing that the team's victory was a culmination of teamwork, Isaac added: "I don't think it's an individual glory, but a collective achievement. As a team, we have excelled recently, which makes individual performances easier. So the two complement each other."
Finally, talking about his team's run of five consecutive victories in the Premier League and six wins in all competitions, Isaac said, "Yes, we are full of confidence at the moment. But the key is to keep that momentum and maintain the current level. Because things can change at any time, we need to stay focused and keep working hard to consolidate the wins."
