Tottenham Hotspur suffered an unexpected 1-2 defeat to Newcastle United under their own goal in the 20th round of the Premier League's marquee match that just ended. After the game, Tottenham Hotspur manager Postecoglou faced the camera of TNT Sports and shared his insights on the match.

Postecoglou opened the game by exuding pride: "My players' performance tonight makes me incredibly proud. We showed exceptional strength in the face of the current difficulties and heavy tests. Judging from the course of the game, we had every reason to win this game."

Facing a question about whether the game suffered from unfair treatment, Postecoglou firmly responded, "I don't think our team suffered from unfairness. That's the way the game of soccer is, the result is sometimes not entirely determined by the performance on the field. I prefer to focus on the players' fighting spirit and performance rather than on the referee's decision. I was proud of my players both in the first half and throughout the game."

Nonetheless, Postecoglou did not hide his disappointment: "Of course we are disappointed because we believed we were fully capable of winning the game. However, the beauty of soccer is that you can only control what you can do. Today, there were some factors beyond our control that caused us to lose the possibility of victory."
