Shanghai Seaport has picked up three valuable points on the road in the midst of a fierce soccer battle, and the team is in a new situation. With three rounds of matches remaining, two at home and one on the road, the schedule is quite favorable for Seaport. Seaport will host Gwangju in their first match, followed by an away match against Kobe Victory, and finally return home to face Yokohama Marinos. A solid six-point haul from the two home games would make Seaport's path to promotion much more spacious, however, these three opponents are not to be underestimated.
Meanwhile, Shandong Taishan's victory at home in this round is crucial. Although the upcoming schedule includes one home game and two away games against Kawasaki, Gwangju and Ulsan, the situation remains optimistic for Taishan. The key is to capitalize on the home advantage against Gwangju and the opportunity to challenge Ulsan on the road, where the team's fate is still in its own hands. At the other end of the table, Kobe Victory have a six-point lead over ninth place and Gwangju are five points ahead. A win in the next round of matches would pretty much seal their chances of advancing. Although Buriram United and Pohang Steelers are currently outside the promotion zone, the difference in points is not so big that they still have a chance to hit the top.
