In view of the strategic expansion of Shaanxi United Football Club, in order to enhance the level of competition, the club, after a thoughtful discussion, officially announced that as of today, Mr. Edwin Petersen, a veteran of the Dutch soccer industry, will be double-hatted as the club's technical director and head coach of the first team.
Edwin Petersen, born May 16, 1969 in the Netherlands, began his career at the Central Academy of Sport in the Netherlands. Mr. Petersen has been in charge of coaching the Dutch youth national teams at all levels, from U14 to U19, and has trained a large number of future stars such as Steven Berwyn, Noah Lang, Foki de Jong, De Ligt, Malacia, Justin Bailo, etc., who have all successfully progressed to the Dutch national youth teams under the guidance of Edwin Petersen.
In 2022, Mr. Edwin Peterson helped to improve the team as the right-hand man of Guangzhou City Football Club in the Chinese Super League, and in 2023, he joined Shaanxi Qinying Football Club as the Technical Director to inject new energy into the team.
Mr. Edwin Peterson has been working in the professional soccer field for many years and is especially good at discovering and developing young players.
