Park Sung, 35, made his name as a teenager in the youth camp of Yanbian FC, and by the age of 19, he was already a mainstay of the Yanbian team, and was frequently selected for the national youth and Olympic teams at all levels. In the 2011 season, Park moved to Beijing Guoan, where he began a 13-year career. Although his contract expired at the end of last year, he ended his career with a remarkable performance.

At Guoan, Park Sung is closely linked to the changing times at CCH. In addition to Housen and Zhang Xizhe, he is another evergreen outside of Guoan's youth training system and is a favorite of Beijing fans. Despite not coming from Guoan's youth training, his reputation as "Park Zu" and the favor of successive head coaches proved his value. Former Guoan managers such as Schmidt and Bilic have praised Park for his skill and talent. However, Park's appearances were not numerous, with less than 300 appearances in 13 seasons, and injuries have cast a shadow over his career. At the age of 34, injuries caused Park to make the decision to retire. He contributed 18 goals and 23 assists in 276 games at Guoan, and helped the team win the FA Cup in the 2018 season. But his contributions went far beyond that. Now, Shao has invited Park Sung to join his coaching team, aiming to pass on his skills to promising midfielders such as Zhang Xiuwei and Duan Liuyu. Although the rumors of Park joining Qingdao West Coast have not yet been settled, we are looking forward to his return to the Chinese Super League as a coach to start a new soccer journey. ......
