On the starry night of June 29, a new star of the Chinese Super League shone again - Meizhou Hakka Football Club officially announced that Cameroonian shooter John Mali returned to the battlefield at an astonishing speed, officially joining the team, vowing to join hands with his teammates and go forward to help the team climb the peak in this season's journey.

John Marley, the 181-centimeter-tall slugger who was born on March 9, 1993, had donned the uniform in 2018 for Meizhou Hakka. In that season, he was like an arrow through the clouds, a shot in the arm, playing 43 games for the team, raking in 36 goals and dishing out two assists, becoming an absolute pillar on the offensive end of the team.

However, in the 2019 season, the wheel of fate brought him to Shenzhen Jiazhaoye, where he continued to write the legend, playing 32 games for the team and firing in 20 goals, showing his unrivaled goal-scoring talent. At the end of the season, John-Marie said goodbye to the Chinese Super League and moved to the J-League, joining Fukuoka Hornets to start his overseas career. Since then, he has been playing for Riyadh Youth, Rize Sports and Manisa to enrich his soccer experience.

Now, John Marley will return to Meizhou Hakka wearing No. 28 to bring new energy to the upcoming Chinese Super League. Facing the first 16 rounds of the 2024 season, Meizhou Hakka had a poor record with 7 losses, 7 draws and only 2 wins, scoring 11 goals and conceding 21, and ranked 15th with 13 points, caught in the relegation limelight. However, the return of John Marley will undoubtedly inject a strong attacking force into the team, helping them to turn the tide against the relegation battle.
