In the late afternoon of June 11th, as the drums beat for the national soccer team's match against South Korea, the starting lineup was officially unveiled. 29-year-old young defender Yang Zexiang, in today's match, will complete his first official performance for the national team.

Yang Zexiang started his soccer career at the Tianjin Teda youth camp at the age of 13. At the age of 20, he was promoted to the first team, but until he left at the age of 24, he was not able to stand in the starting lineup of the first team.

In 2022, 27-year-old Yang Zexiang made his Super League debut with Shenhua, appearing for Baoding Rongda, Dalian Beyond and Chengdu Rongcheng. However, his Chinese Super League debut ended with a two-minute substitute appearance, a mistake in a flying kick to an opponent that left him with a red card and regret.

In the last season and this season, Yang Zexiang has earned recognition for his performances with Shenhua, solidifying his place in the team. Today, he will make his debut for the national team as a right back in the World Cup qualifier against South Korea, where he will face the star from Tottenham Hotspur, Son.
