In the just-released German Transfer Global Value Ranking, the overall value of Chinese Super League players jumped to the sixth position in Asia, highlighting the potential of China's soccer market.
While the Saudi Arabian soccer market still reigns supreme, the UAE and Japan's J1 League follow in second and third place in Asia, with their specific rankings as follows:
Saudi League: up to €885 million
UAE League: €329 million
Japanese J1 League: €287 million
The Qatar League, meanwhile, is in fifth place with €271 million, nipping at the heels of South Korea's K1 League, which is worth €161 million.
While our Chinese Super League is only in seventh place with a value of 139 million euros, the Iranian league is close behind with 122 million euros, showing some competitiveness.
It's worth noting that the AFL's price tag is only €93 million, which is still a big gap compared to the top Asian leagues.
