Newcastle United defeated Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-1 comeback away from home in the 20th round of English Premier League matches. After the match, manager Eddie Howe gave a detailed analysis of the match on the Match of the Day program.

Eddie Howe said bluntly, "Given the way we played in the first half, we deserved to win the game. Our play was top notch, especially being able to quickly equalize after going a goal down. Although we struggled at times during the game, in the end our excellent performance helped us win."

He further elaborated, "If we were two goals up at halftime, the main task in the second half would be to solidify the defense. I am pleased that the team stayed in the game until the last minute and eventually won. In the first half we had a strong offense, while in the second half there was a complete change of pace, many breaks in the game and a lot of injuries. But overall, I think our defense was pretty good."

Speaking about the equalizing goal, Eddie Howe said, "There is a real ambiguity in the rules about that goal, and I'm not really sure where the line is. Of course, the ball did touch Jolington's hand, there's no denying that. However, I think it was a wonderful goal. The team showed indomitable fighting spirit and subtle cooperation in that moment."

Additionally, Eddie Howe spoke highly of Jacob Murphy's performance, "He has played well in our recent games and played a key role again today. Murphy showed excellent skill and awareness on the field and was instrumental in the team's victory."

Through Eddie Howe's interview, we were able to get a glimpse of the tenacity and strength that Newcastle United showed in the match. Despite the difficulties and challenges, the team finally won the game with their outstanding performance.
