Van Hecke began by praising his team's performance, "I think we showed a very high level of athleticism in this game. Van Hecke also expressed regret over Arsenal's goal: "During Arsenal's goal, their young player Nwaneri was virtually unguarded on the right, which allowed him to finish inside and break through to score with ease. As a team, we should have done a better job of containing the other team's attack more effectively."
