In the just concluded 20th round of the English Premier League summit match, Manchester City defeated West Ham United by 4-1 with the advantage of home field. After the match, Coach Pep Guardiola talked about the victory in the match of the day program.

Faced with the question of whether he has returned to the top, Guardiola bluntly said: "Not yet. Although this victory is gratifying, we still have a lot of shortcomings. Nonetheless, this win means a lot to us, especially considering the fact that we were in trouble. The win is definitely a release and gives us a bit of a breather."

Pep Guardiola was full of praise for Savinho: "He is undoubtedly the new star of the team and has shown great talent. Savinho's professionalism is admirable, and despite being a little impatient at times, he adapted quickly to the fast pace in today's game, which is a big step forward for him. Two wins in a row are vital for us, and with three wins in a row recently, the overall performance deserves to be recognized despite the fluctuations of the first eight months."

Speaking about his team's attacking efficiency, Guardiola said: "It's true that today we had a lot of luck and we took an early lead. In fact, West Ham United were much better in the early stages of the game and we were almost caught out. The second goal was crucial for us, it was a classic. Nevertheless, we have yet to return to our usual fluid attacking pattern."
