It is reported that the stadium will be expanded to 50,000 seats, becoming the first professional soccer stadium in Nanjing. Not only will the Chinese Super League and other top-level matches be held here, but it is also expected to bid for international competitions such as the Asian Cup in the future. However, the potential of this state-of-the-art facility has not been fully unleashed under the constraints of the original 18,000-seat stadium, so renovation and upgrading is a must.
