The summer transfer bonanza may have come to an end, but Roma Football Club hasn't stopped there. Just on Tuesday (3), the club announced the Saudi Arabia trip of English center back Keith Smolenen, while welcoming Spanish defender Mario Busquets to the club. And well-known journalist Fabrizio Romano even broke the news that German center back Christian Bruma is flying to Italy to prepare for Roma's physical examination, and will officially sign after passing the physical examination.
Bruma, 35, became a free agent in the summer when his contract with Borussia Dortmund expired and his name has been at the forefront of the transfer market. A number of clubs including Westham, Brighton, Majorca and Bologna were reported to have extended an olive branch to him. But in the end, Bruma chose Roma, and his family flew with him to Rome to complete a medical, where he will sign a one-year contract with the Serie A powerhouse.
Roma have started the Serie A season strong with only one loss in three games. After the transfer of Keith Smolenen to Saudi Arabia, the additions of Mario Busquets and Cristian Bruma have certainly injected fresh blood into the team, and are expected to help them get back to their winning ways.
