Serie A giants Juventus officially released the news, midfield core Rabiot contract expires this summer, both sides have not reached an agreement to extend the contract, the player will be free to move to other teams. The Premier League's Manchester United has been salivating over the 29-year-old French international and is expected to facilitate his return home.
Recall that Rabiot joined Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent in the summer of 2019 and quickly integrated into the team. Despite a one-year contract extension at one point last summer, the two sides failed to agree on this occasion and Rabiot was able to join another club unfettered. Rabiot played 31 games in Serie A last season, contributing five goals and three assists to help France reach the Europa League quarterfinals. A number of clubs may show a keen interest in signing him.
Manchester United tried to sign Rabiot in 2022 and last summer but failed to do so. Rabiot's main reason for leaving Juve was reportedly his desire for a £150,000 (HK$1.5 million) weekly salary, which was rejected by Juve. If United can fulfill Rabiot's salary expectation, I believe he would like to join the "Red Devils".
