Chelsea's performance this season is not satisfactory, especially the defense line is outstanding. In the Premier League, they have conceded 47 times in 28 matches, almost matching the total number of goals scored last season. According to internal sources, Chelsea's senior management plans to bring in strong reinforcements this summer, targeting a defender who is expected to replace 39-year-old veteran Diago Silva, who will be a solid back-up for Buon Giorno.

Although Chelsea has many strong players in the midfield, the defense has been losing ground. The leader of the team, Pujitenu, is eager to bring in a central player. He is looking at the 1.90 meters tall Buon Giorno, a defender who is not only solid in defense, but also can contribute excellent assists, and has scored 3 goals in Serie A this season.

The 24-year-old Buon Giorno made his debut for the Italian national team in March last year and made his debut in November's Europa League play-offs, leading his team to a 0-0 draw with Ukraine and successfully locking up the right to go out of the tournament. Both Juventus and Inter Milan are reportedly interested in acquiring the starlet. Although the club rejected a £21.5 million offer from the other side, the opening bid was at least £35 million, which may be a perfect opportunity for Chelsea to seal the deal.
