In the early hours of Sunday morning, La Liga saw a shocking draw as bottom-of-the-table Emilia shook hands with rivals Sporting Madrid in a 2-2 draw at home. Luca Romero, the 19-year-old Argentine starlet who moved to Emilia on loan from AC Milan last month, shone in the match, scoring twice as a debutant and proving that he is worthy of his reputation as the "new Mestizo".

The match seemed to be a stage for Argentine players, who scored all four goals. Just two minutes into the match, Sporting Madrid striker Anzugoria broke the deadlock. For the sake of relegation, América was not willing to lag behind. In the 27th minute, Luca Romero broke through with his individual ability and scored a long-distance shot, scoring in a style with shades of Mez, which was his third official game after joining América, finally breaking the goal drought.

As the match resumed, Di Paulo gave Sporting Madrid the lead again when he launched a fierce attack from the left side of the field, going straight into the box and deftly changing the direction of his shot. However, senior Luca Romero was once again in the spotlight as he scored in the 64th minute with a powerful shot from the right side of the box to help América pull one back.

Standing at only 1 meter 65 meters tall, Luca Romero, whose body shape and playing style are very similar to that of Mez, once went to Barcelona's youth team for a trial, but was not retained. During his time with Mallorca, he became the youngest player to play in La Liga history at 15 years and 219 days, earning him the title of "the new Mez".
