Gadoussou, 46, took over the Marseille coaching reins in September 2023, however, after just under five months with the team, he suffered the sack on Tuesday (19), his second job loss in recent years.
Gadoussou has had little stability in his coaching career, and after taking over Marseille at the end of September last year, he has led the team to only 24 games so far, with a record of 9 wins, 8 draws and 7 losses, a winning percentage of only 37.5%, and the team is currently ranked 9th in the Ligue 1 league.
In their last match against Bicester, Marseille lost 0-1 and have not won in 7 consecutive matches. There were reports that the club felt that the 442 formation used by Gadossou was ineffective, and Gadossou himself admitted that he was unable to turn the defeat around, and eventually had no choice but to step down.
Gattuso's career has been up and down, as he was sacked by Napoli three years ago and then left after a short stint at Ferentina. Last year, he moved to La Liga, where he was sacked after only seven months in charge of Valencia. This time in Ligue 1, his coaching career suffered another setback and he was dismissed in less than five months.
