In their last match against Bicester, Marseille lost 0-1 and have not won in 7 consecutive matches. There were reports that the club felt that the 442 formation used by Gadossou was ineffective, and Gadossou himself admitted that he was unable to turn the defeat around, and eventually had no choice but to step down.
Gattuso's career has been up and down, as he was sacked by Napoli three years ago and then left after a short stint at Ferentina. Last year, he moved to La Liga, where he was sacked after only seven months in charge of Valencia.
