In Sunday's (28th) Serie A match, an unexpected feast of consecutive cold goals kicked off. Zuyundas, the table leader, was forced to draw by relegated Amboli after taking the lead at home, with the score fixed at 1-1, and even the odds of 1.19 times for a home win failed to hold steady. Third-placed AC Milan also unexpectedly dropped points at home, forced into a 2-2 draw by Bologna in extra time, leaving Inter Milan, who have been in contention, as the biggest winners.

Zuyuntas, now on a seven-match winning streak in all competitions, came out aggressively in the opening moments, with Dusinhoas Horwath and Andaya Gambiasu both taking powerful shots in the first six minutes, but they were both valiantly parried by Ambos keeper Iliacabini. Zuyundas, who had a clear advantage, were sent off in the 17th minute when striker Milicru was shown a direct red card by the referee for a flying tackle, a decision that was confirmed after the VAR system intervened.

With a man down, the pace of the Zuyuntas attack slowed down, but Dusinhojovic scored again at the start of the second half and the Serbian international is in great form having scored in each of his last four Serie A matches, totaling six goals. Just when Zuyuntas thought they could increase their lead, Amboli's 20-year-old star Batanes scored from long range in the 70th minute to help his side pull one back, but despite that, Amboli still remain at the bottom two of the league table.
