Inter Milan's contract extension talks with right-sided defender Dufex are at a stalemate. According to the Italian media, Inter may put the 27-year-old Dutch international up for sale this month if the two sides fail to reach an agreement. Rumor has it that Manchester United have expressed a strong interest in the player and are interested in offering Dufresne double his current salary to tempt him to join the Red Devils.
Dufex currently has 1.5 years left on his contract with an annual salary of €2 million (about HK$17 million). Inter proposed a new deal and promised to raise the salary to 4 million euros (about HK$34 million), however Dufayes made a big ask for an annual salary of 5 million euros (about HK$43 million), a demand that has brought the negotiation to a stalemate. In the face of the possibility of contract renewal failure, Inter has prepared for two hands, the recent signing of Bruges wingback Dajon Porchalan, may be precisely to fill the vacancy of Dufresne.
