A sparkling Serie A clash unfolded at Roma's home ground at the crack of dawn on Monday (8), ending in a 1-1 draw. It was a game full of tension, with Roma striker Paulo Dabbana going so far as to hit his opponent with the ball after scoring on penalties, while coach Jose Mourinho will miss next week's thrilling clash with AC Milan after being banned for a red card in the closing stages of the game.

Roma, who have been struggling of late, got off to a bad start and were overrun by Goupmenas in just 8 minutes. In the 39th minute, Roma won a penalty kick, and as Paulo Dabbana was about to take it, Goupmenas deliberately kicked the ball away in an attempt to create chaos, which led to a clash between the two sides. After Paulo Dabbana scored the equalizer, he took the ball and threw it at Goupmenas, but fortunately the referee did not give a red card.
