In Saturday's (6th) Serie A match, the top team Inter Milan, after an epic battle, finally beat Verona 2-1 with the help of substitute David Faddis' extra-time strike and the opponent's mistake in the penalty kicks, completing the halfway point of the season, ahead of Juventus, and crowned as the "King of the Halfway Point" in Serie A. The team also beat Juventus in the penalty kicks, and won the "King of the Halfway Point".

In the last round of matches, Inter Milan unexpectedly lost points after drawing with underdog Genoa. Fortunately, goal scorer Nada Martinez returned from injury in time to start the game, scoring in just 13 minutes to help his team take the lead. However, Inter failed to continue to increase their advantage and it was not until the 74th minute that Verona striker Thomas Henry equalized to make it 1-1.

Just when Inter Milan seemed to be on the verge of swallowing the bitter fruit of losing points, David Faddis, who had only come on as a substitute for 10 minutes, seized the opportunity and scored with a shot at the near post after goalkeeper Mendip failed to make a save. The Italian international was so excited after scoring that he celebrated by leaping over the goal and was accidentally pulled out of his shorts by his teammates.
