In a passionate Serie A match, AC Milan's striker Chiote, in the match against Lecce, instantly suffered a "feast" of two yellow cards because of his loud ranting to the referee, and was sent off with a red card. Originally, he could have faced a four-game suspension, but after an in-depth investigation by the Serie A, the 37-year-old veteran was only given a two-game suspension, which spared him.

Chiote's yellow card turned into a red card, which would have resulted in a one-match suspension, however, according to Serie A rules, the club has the right to increase the penalty to a four-match ban if the referee decides that the player has committed an offense. It was reported that Chiote apologized sincerely to the referee after the match and received understanding from the opponent. As a result, the club finally decided to go easy on him and suspend him for only two matches. He will miss the next two Serie A home matches against Fiorentina and Fiorentina, but could make his comeback in the away match against rivals Atalanta, which is a fortunate turn of events in the midst of the misfortunes.
