According to a number of media disclosures, England's old club Ewarton is in in-depth negotiations with the U.S. private equity giant 777Partners on the transfer of equity, the negotiations have entered the sprint stage, if nothing unexpected, is expected to reach a deal within this week.
Rumors of this stake transfer have been going on for months, with an anonymous investor previously offering to take over the business for £150 million (approximately HK$1.46 billion), which was politely rejected by Ewarton. Subsequently, 777Partners intervened in the negotiations, and after many close communications between the two parties, the negotiations have recently culminated in a deal being imminent.
