Serie A giants Inter Milan have announced the high-profile signing of Chilean striker Alexis Sanzis on a one-year deal with an annual salary of 2.5 million euros (HK$21 million), but the pay is just one-third of what he received when he first joined Inter. Despite his advanced age, the 34-year-old Sanzis still harbors great ambitions and vows to surpass the past and create new glories.
Inter Milan lost two goalscorers, Romelu Lukaku and Disko, in this summer's transfer window, and not long ago loaned Zouakoun Goliath to Marseille. The signing of Alexis Sanchez, who just left Marseille, is a coincidence. Sanchez said after signing: "Inter Milan is known as a big club and has just finished second in the UEFA Europa League. I am hungry for success, so I chose to join such a big club and I hope that this return will help me achieve more."
Three years ago, Alexis Sanchez was loaned out by Manchester United to Inter Milan for one season before being bought out by Inter. He played for the team for a total of three seasons, accumulating 109 appearances, scoring 20 goals, and winning the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia. Last summer he moved to Marseille, where he made 44 appearances and scored 18 goals in one season, but left again after only one year, eventually returning to Inter.
