On the stage of UEFA Cup, the mysterious division of Premier League, Brighton, is about to start the new season. In order to improve the overall competitiveness of their team, they came with a heavy news on Thursday (27th), successfully signing Brazilian center-back Igor Zulio from Ferrandina. The deal is worth a whopping £15 million (HK$151 million), with both sides signing a four-year contract. For the center back, Brighton's head coach Di Sabi was full of praise.

Although Bradenton has always maintained a policy of not chasing star players, Igorzulio, 25, has not represented the Brazilian national team but has been playing in Serie A for many years. Last season, he helped Ferentina reach the UEFA Europa League final. As a left-footer, he excels at center back, and the Brighton brass see him as the ideal successor to former Chelsea legend Govier.
