This summer, English soccer powerhouse Chelsea made a lot of moves in the transfer market, aiming to ease the financial pressure. Following the departure of a number of players, midfielder Rolf Dostrock has announced that he has joined Serie A giants AC Milan in a €16 million (HK$137 million) transfer, with both sides signing a five-year deal.
Chelsea's recent transfer operations have been quite active, with a number of players such as Kovacs, Chaves, Ghoulibani, Edoardo Aventis and Nicolajandi leaving one after another. The departure of Rolf Dostrok was expected, but the 27-year-old English midfielder's departure still raises concerns. He made just 22 appearances in all competitions last season and recorded no goals and just two assists. He was loaned out to Crystal Palace and Fulham, among others, and has now finally ended his nine-year relationship with parent club Chelsea.
