Lister City, who were unlucky to be relegated to the Championship in the 22/23 season, have seen a number of star players in their squad leave the club. Following the transfer of captain Terry Vince to Aston Villa, Belgian international Castaigne has also made a transfer request. Currently, a number of Premier League clubs have shown strong interest, but it is reported that Castaigne's biggest possibility is to return to Serie A and join Juventus.
Castellani is currently representing Belgium in the European Cup of Nations and said in an interview, "Even though we, Lister City, were unfortunate to be relegated at the end of the season after showing great attacking soccer, it doesn't mean that we are a poor team. My goal is to join a top club, but for now the matter is in the hands of my agent and I will give my full attention to playing for Belgium."
Clubs such as Arsenal, Fulham and Crystal Palace have reportedly expressed interest in Castellani. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have been the first to make contact with Leicester City, with an expected transfer fee of around £15 million (HK$150 million). 27-year-old Castellani has a deep knowledge of Serie A, having spent three seasons with Atalanta before joining Leicester City.
