AC Milan officially came with heavy news, announcing that it has extended the contract of sideway speedster Raffaello until June 2028, a feat with a high liquidated damages of €175 million (about HK$1.47 billion), enough to discourage potential suitors from top giants such as Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.

It is understood that Rafael Raio's contract extension is a lucrative one, as he will receive a fixed annual salary of €5 million (approximately HK$42 million) per year, as well as a floating bonus of €2 million (approximately HK$16.8 million). The 23-year-old Portuguese international was excited: "I'm very happy to extend my contract, I've communicated my thoughts with the club and my teammates and my goal was to stay here. In the end, we reached an agreement and Milan is like my home, from the first day I arrived here, I felt the passion and support of everyone."
