Serie A giants Juventus have been penalized with 10 points in the current season despite a retrial and appeal for financial fraud, and the club has formally announced that it is giving up further appeals and will devote all its efforts to building the new season's lineup. However, the UEFA (European Football Association) has also followed suit and may impose a one-year ban on Juve for European competitions.

An official statement from Juve said the move to drop the appeal would help the team quickly restore stability and allow the management, coaching staff and players to focus on competition, laying the foundation for an overall strategic layout for the upcoming season. The move is also in line with the expectations of the club's shareholders and stakeholders. Juve not only had 10 points deducted from their league standings, but also had to pay a fine of 718,000 euros (about HK$6.02 million).
