Serie A giants Juventus unfortunately suffered a heavy blow as the Italian Federal Court of Appeals reopened a historical case and finally ruled that Juve is suspected of financial fraud and will be deducted 10 points from this season's league points. Although this penalty is 5 points lighter than the initial judgment, Juventus still fell out of the top four in the league due to the disaster, and the qualification for next season's Champions League is in jeopardy. In the early morning of Tuesday (23), Juve lost 1-4 to the weaker Amboli team, bursting 150 times cold.

In January of this year, an Italian court found Juve guilty of falsifying accounts, which involved covering up transfer fees through player swaps and claiming that players had voluntarily given up four months' pay during the epidemic when in fact they had deferred payment. At that time, Juve was sentenced to 15 points, including the current and former 11 members of the management were banned from participating in soccer activities.

Juve then appealed, and the Court of Appeal suspended penalties such as the deduction of points last month, which saw Juve jump to second place in the league. After a retrial, the appeals court still found Juve guilty, but the penalty was adjusted to a 10-point deduction, while former senior Nivette and seven others were acquitted.

Despite Juve receiving a reduced sentence, the penalty still constitutes a major blow to the fight for Champions League qualification. The 10-point deduction drops Juve from second to seventh place.

In fact, the court gave Juve enough chances this time. The verdict was announced before the Amboli match, and if Juve had won, the situation wouldn't have been too bad, as the next league match against AC Milan would have brought them back to the top four if they beat their rivals. However, Juve failed to capitalize on their chances and their defense was full of holes, eventually losing to the Amboli 1-4.
