In the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals, two legendary clubs AC Milan and Inter Milan are about to play a summit match, which will undoubtedly be a visual feast.
These two teams, which are equally strong and have written glorious chapters in the history of Italian soccer, are only two points apart in the Serie A standings, and the competition is fierce. In my time as a player, both Milan clubs were home to some of the world's best players, and although times have changed, the overall quality of the players on both sides is still outstanding.
AC Milan eliminated Napoli, this season's Serie A champions, in the last eight, with Rafferrio's performance being particularly eye-catching. He is a very threatening player with his speed and decisive style of play. Unfortunately, he was injured and is doubtful to play in this match, which is undoubtedly a huge blow to AC Milan's offense.
Inter Milan are in top form after knocking out Benfica in the last eight and then winning five consecutive matches in all competitions. The team also knocked out Juventus in the Coppa Italia and beat Lazio in the league, showing great form. Nadal Martinez has scored six goals in his last six matches in all competitions and I think he will be the biggest threat to AC Milan. He has scored 19 goals in Serie A this season and is second in the scorer's list with a lot of confidence. And, he scored the key goal for his team in the Milan derby in February.
I'm predicting an evenly matched match, with neither team having many chances to score, and the goalkeepers' performance will be especially crucial. Both teams will want to avoid mistakes, so I expect the first leg to end in a draw.
