Serie A juggernauts Napoli were the first to lock up the trophy in the middle of last week, holding a huge celebration at their own stadium late on Monday night (8). The icing on the cake was a 1-0 victory over Ferrandina on the night of the championship, thanks to Vitor Ossenhan's strike. Vitor Ossenhan's goal was the 47th of his Serie A career, surpassing Liberian legend Weah as the highest scoring African player in Serie A history.

Napoli's home ground became a sea of joy as fans hung banners to celebrate the club's third Serie A title. Although Fiorentina's players lined up to welcome the new champions, Napoli did not play a perfect game. Early in the second half, the team won a 12-yard penalty kick, but Vito Osenhan failed to convert it into a goal. However, in the 74th minute, Napoli had another 12-yard chance, and Vitor Ossenhan took his second shot on goal and finally scored to help his team win 1-0.

Vidal Ossenhan has scored his 23rd goal of the season, his 47th in Serie A, surpassing AC Milan legend Weah's record of 46 to become the highest scoring African player in Serie A history. After the match, the Nigerian striker said, "Even though I missed the first penalty, I had confidence in myself and I ended up finishing the second one. The feeling of scoring is fantastic!"
