Juventus Football Club has officially announced that they have successfully signed a new player from Aston Villa.

According to official sources, Douglas Luiz's transfer fee of €50 million will be paid in installments over four fiscal years, with a €1.5 million surcharge.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Douglas Luiz Soares de Paulo began his soccer career in the youth ranks of Vasco da Gama FC. He showed excellent performances during a two-season loan at Girona in Spain before moving to English Premier League side Aston Villa, where he became one of the team's centerpieces.
During his time at Aston Villa, Douglas Luiz made 204 Premier League appearances, scoring 22 goals and assisting 24 times. His performances not only won over the fans, but also earned him his first selection to the Brazilian national team in 2019. He helped the Brazilian national team win the gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Juventus expects the addition of Douglas Luiz to bolster the team's midfield and contribute his skills and experience to future matches.
