The Portuguese star, who earns as much as NT$6.6 billion a year, has suffered the embarrassment of having his debut postponed after joining Ainas. In addition to serving a two-game ban, the British media revealed that before Crow joined, Ainas has eight foreign aid to reach the limit of the league, resulting in Crow has not been able to register, the news made fans dismayed.

Crow, who is bidding farewell to Europe, is in the spotlight for when he will appear in an Ainas uniform. He is currently required to complete a two-match ban for an emotional outburst after a loss in a Premier League match during his time at Manchester United last April, when he slapped the cell phone off a young fan with autism and was complained about by the fan's mother.

However, British media reports such as the Mirror and the Sun pointed out that Ainas did not officially register Crowe because the team already has eight foreign aiders, reaching the league's cap, and someone must leave the team in order to register Crowe.

The eight foreigners in the Ainas squad include Cameroonian striker Vincent Aboubakar and former Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina. Most likely to make way for Crowe is Uzbek winger Jaloliddin Masharapov, who has made just one appearance this season and has had his original No. 7 shirt transferred to Crowe.

Cairo is expected to make his debut in a friendly on January 19, when Ainas take on Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain. Crowe could be on the pitch once again against old La Liga foe Lionel Messi, as well as facing Argentine Ballon d'Or superstar duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in what promises to be a highly-anticipated and exciting clash.
