Visiting. Wearing a special Bob Marley-inspired shirt, the Bohemians arrived with around 1,000 fans and created a fantastic atmosphere on the banks of the Old Forester. Keith Long's side created chances of their own after Puhach shot high and wide from distance. Chris Twardek combined with Ryan Burke to finish a shot that hit the side netting of Junnoff. Union found a rhythm and took complete control of the game over the next 10 to 15 minutes while creating a number of good chances. In the 12th minute, Puhach's sideline cross found Llewellyn, but the ball flew away and landed straight at Dokshi on the edge of the box, where the center back slotted the ball into the net for the first goal. Two minutes later, Junnov was busy again, pouncing on a shot from Rory Feely.
After announcing his contract extension, Sheraldo Becker received a warm welcome from the home fans before the match. The Dutch winger hit the foot of the post with an excellent cross in the 19th minute. Midfielder Andras Schafer showed skill and composure to get away from the defense, allowing Michel to shoot and fire into the net past keeper Ginadu. However, Kita Endo was deemed to have committed a foul on the first goal that was disallowed. A minute later, Schafer's long diagonal pass found Michel and despite his excellent shot, the striker was ruled offside.
The team made substitutions at halftime with Jordan Sebaceu, Genki Haraguchi, Paul Yeakel, Rani Hedira, Rani Hedira, and Tim Skacke. Sebacew the born striker made his first appearance for the club in midweek in and he was involved from half time. Tim Skak's cross led to a goalkeeper error, but Sebaceu's shot went wide. Genki Haraguchi shot over the bar from long range after a great flank attack by Gieselman. The second goal came in the 68th minute when Skak finished the scoring. The visitors scored a goal in the 75th minute. Substitute Omocere's clever interplay with John O'Sullivan sparked huge cheers in the away end before Ali Coote scored. Despite some chances to equalize, United retained the advantage and celebrated their first game of the 2022/23 season with a victory.
