Joining the team. River Plate made an announcement confirming that they have signed 27-year-old striker Barrero from San Lorenzo on a contract that will run until December 2027. According to the German Transfer Market, the transfer fee is €4.14 million.
Barreiro, who previously played for a number of clubs including Olimpia, Paraguay Nacional and Monterrey, has made 21 appearances for San Lorenzo this season, scoring seven goals and contributing one assist.
