Spain will be looking to make it two wins in a row in Group A as they continue their UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on Tuesday, this time against Cyprus. On Friday, Spain managed to move up to second in the group with a 7-1 win over Georgia. Cyprus, on the other hand, who lost 0-3 to Scotland on the same day, are currently last in the group with no points.

Spain were under immense pressure against Georgia on Friday as they lost 2-0 to Scotland in their last Euro qualifier. However, thanks to their success in the UEFA Nations League in June, Spain's confidence will have been boosted as they put in a superb performance against Georgia, winning 7-1 with Alvaro scoring three goals and Lamine Yamal scoring a historic goal late in the game.

Yamal became the youngest player and goal scorer in the history of the Spanish team, and the victory gives Spain six points in the group, two ahead of third-placed Norway. Although Spain are still nine points behind leaders Scotland, they have two more games than the team that topped the group and one more with third-placed Norway. Spain won two consecutive European Cups in 2008 and 2012, but they were knocked out of the 2016 tournament at the round of 16 stage, while at Euro 2020 they lost to eventual winners Italy in the semifinals.

Cyprus, on the other hand, will enter this match on the back of a 3-0 loss to Scotland, who sit last in the group having failed to score in four matches. Cyprus have scored just two goals and conceded 11 in the qualifiers and it is hard to imagine that they will be able to get enough points from their remaining four games to get into the race for the top two spots. Cyprus have never reached the finals of a major tournament, but they have won seven games in their last two Euro qualifiers, so this group is particularly bad.

Cyprus, who lost 3-0 to Scotland in their last game, have reported no new injuries and are expected to make changes to at least one or two positions.Ioannis Pittas and Michalis Ioannou both played well off the bench in their last game and could make their debuts in Tuesday night's game.

Predicted Result: Spain 3-0 Cyprus. Cyprus have been weak in Group A and it's hard to see them getting a positive result in this game. Spain were excellent against Georgia on Friday night and it would be a big upset if they couldn't get another three points in Tuesday's game.
