De Gea has yet to ask to leave, Man Utd interested
The Daily Telegraph reports that Manchester United FC have insisted that while Real Madrid FC are interested in bringing in Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea, De Gea himself has not requested to leave Old Trafford.
Two years ago Real Madrid made a bid for Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea, but ultimately the transfer did not materialize. Recently Marca reported that De Gea has agreed on personal terms with Real Madrid and has told Manchester United that he wants to move away from Old Trafford this summer.
But Daily Telegraph reporters have learned from reliable sources on both the United club and De Gea's side that De Gea has not asked to leave the club. But despite United stating that they will not sell De Gea, manager Jose Mourinho has also been looking for a suitable goalkeeper just in case.
It is reported that Real Madrid could bring in De Gea for £50 million to £60 million, and if United agree to De Gea's departure, Mourinho is likely to ask Real Madrid to swap with striker Morata. Also a possible exchange candidate is Real Madrid defender Varane, although United are interested in bringing in Burnley defender Michael Keane, but Mourinho has always admired young center back Varane.
Fellaini gets 3-match ban and written warning for red, no additional punishment
Manchester United's Fellaini received a three-match ban plus a written warning from the FA and no additional punishment for refusing to leave the field after receiving a red card in the Manchester derby.
The Manchester United midfielder was red-carded near the end of Thursday night's match at the Etihad Stadium for head-butting Manchester City's Aguero. After he toppled Aguero, the latter fell to the ground causing Fellaini to be red-carded, angering both Fellaini and manager Jose Mourinho.
After reviewing the footage of the clash, the FA decided not to penalize Fellaini for taking so long to leave the field, and Fellaini will miss United's next three matches, including this Sunday's home match against Swansea, and two consecutive away matches against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
